Hello!
I'm Natalie, the baker and decorator behind Tickled Turquoise, LLC, a Cottage Food Bakery located in Frisco, Texas. People often ask me how I got started with cookies, and the story always makes me smile! For years, I “collected” cookie decorating supplies, but I never really put them to use. That all changed one day in 2012 when I decided—on a whim—to make cookies for a football game… that same night!
Let me tell you, I had NO idea what I was getting myself into. The baking, the cooling, the mixing, the coloring, the flooding, the drying (so much drying!), the details, the cleanup—my kitchen was a disaster zone when friends and family arrived to watch the game.
I’ll never forget how proud I felt showing off my very first cookies:

To my surprise, when I posted them on Facebook, my friends were proud of me too—and they wanted to order some!
From there, I started small: a birthday party here, a bridal shower there, all while continuing to teach kindergarten. For the past 12 years, I’ve baked cookies on and off, taking breaks as life ebbed and flowed. I’ve been so lucky to have the best customers—friends, family, and community members—who’ve supported me every step of the way.
I feel truly blessed to live in Texas, where the Cottage Food Law allows me to bake and sell directly from my home kitchen without needing a commercial storefront. While I do have some rules to follow, like no shipping and no inspections from the DSH, it’s been an incredible way to bring my cookies to you. As I relaunch Tickled Turquoise in 2025, I’m excited to focus on a new structure:

Instead, I’m bringing you monthly, themed mini cookies that are perfect for holidays, events, and celebrations. Presale windows and pickup dates will be posted right here on the website, so be sure to check back each month to reserve yours!
